Nature-Based Vacations Which Are Great For Kids

When it comes to going on vacation, families will often find themselves at odds. The kids will want to do something which is packed with adventure, preferably with rides and excitement to go along with it. Mom and dad, on the other hand, will be more partial to something quieter, willing to spend their time off doing absolutely nothing. Finding a balance between the two of these can be a challenge. So, to help you out, this post will be exploring some nature-based trips, all to give you an idea of a good middle ground between the two types of holiday.

Ecuador

South America is one of the most beautiful areas in the entire world. Covered in a thick blanket of the rainforest, countries like Ecuador have a lot to offer those looking for some time in the bush. Compared to other countries in the same area, this one has a very low crime rate, making it perfect for those with children. Finding a hotel in Quito or the surrounding area will be nice and easy. There are loads of English speaking employees in hotels like this, making it easy to get by during your stay.

Ghana

When it comes to countries in Africa, very few are doing as well as Ghana when it comes to crime, social development, and the economy. This has created an idyllic spot for those looking for some sunshine, placing tourists in an alien environment which is packed with wildlife like crocodiles, lions, elephants, and loads of other creatures which your kids will struggle to see elsewhere. There are few places in the world which can provide a safari in such safe conditions, even in richer areas. Be sure to use a reputable company who can create the perfect safari experience for you, whatever your budget or travel style.

Japan

Travelling East, not a lot of people think about Japan when they are considering a natural vacation. In reality, though, this part of the world is home to some of the more diverse and interesting forests on the planet. With giant insects, colourful birds, and hulking mountains, there isn’t an island anywhere else which can match the pure natural splendour of Japan. Of course, being a developed country, it is nice and safe to travel here with kids.

Lanzarote

Finally, as the last idea on this list, it’s time to head over to Spain, and its small volcanic island, Lanzarote. If Ghana’s landscape is alien, the one which is found on this island must come out of fantasy. Black, sharp rocks go on for miles until they reach dark mountains which smoke and cough out ash on a regular basis. This is one of the most recent large-scale volcanic eruptions to have taken place. This means that the documentation and history surrounding the event are incredibly detailed, making it easy to learn about what happened.

Hopefully, this post will inspire you to start looking for something different on your next holiday. For a lot of people, the idea of a natural holiday might be very unusual, and you could want something different to satisfy your needs. Of course, this sort of idea can be applied to loads of different breaks, and it doesn’t have to be mother nature calling you away.
