The Best Christmas Gift Ideas for Adults

Ad: This is a sponsored post, however opinions are 100% my own.

The adults often get forgotten at Christmas and all the fun traditions are reserved for the younger family members. I'm not sure Santa Claus would agree with this, so on Christmas morning why not make a special effort to bring some festive spirit to everyone? We all know we'd rather not have socks again!

With that in mind, we’ve created a gift guide of delicious, luxurious and well-being items which will fill our days with lots of happy moments on Christmas Day and beyond!

For Your Wellbeing

Looking after ourselves has quite rightly become a high priority. In a world of juggling a million things, often we don't take care of our minds and bodies enough. We believe these items below, along with getting fresh air and spending time with others reduces stress and anxiety.

Soft Touch Pyjamas

One thing we love about this time of year is being cosy and comfortable. You really feel like you’re looking after yourself when you get home and put on super soft clothing which flatters your figure.

Gifting a pair of these Soft Touch Pyjamas is the perfect treat for a loved one and shows you’ve put great thought into their present.

These lovely sets have cuffed pyjama bottoms, a drawstring waistband, soft cotton fabric and are completely non-see-through.

They come in two colour ways; Burgundy with classic Christmas motifs or Navy with Check.

Scandi Christmas Diffuser

At Christmas time, scent is such a big part of your whole experience. I love finding incredible fragrances to have around the home.

When this diffuser arrived from The Copenhagen Company I could smell it as I opened the parcel. It’s absolutely divine and I’m already being asked where it’s from whenever I have visitors.

This Scandi Christmas Diffuser has a blend of delicious spices including cinnamon and cloves, a touch of vanilla, with the warm and woody notes of sandalwood and cedar. There’s a little citrus as well from the mandarin and lemon.

Our diffuser is the 100ml Christmas product, however, there are also candles, tealights and gift sets available. Find out more here.

Something special

Looking for the perfect Christmas gift that combines history, beauty, and sentiment? Antique jewellery is the answer. Vintage jewellery has a fascinating past, and each item holds a unique story. Gifting antiques is like giving a piece of history, and that adds an extra layer of meaning to your present.

We found a wonderful range at AC Silver, who offer antique and vintage collections such as precious gemstones with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, rubies, and more.

Here are our favourites, a pair of Diamond and 18ct Yellow Gold Clover Vintage earrings, these are Italian and circa 1980.

Black Pearl and Diamond, 14ct White Gold drop earrings by Yana Nesper

CONTEMPORARY GERMAN CIRCA 2000

The other pair which caught our eye, were these stunning black pearl earrings with diamonds which have been crafted in 14ct white gold. Each earring features a 8.4mm cultured black pearl drop. The drop suspends from a collet set modern brilliant round cut diamond. The earrings have a butterfly style fastening, both of which are hallmarked with the 14ct gold fineness marks (585). Making a Difference by Pamela Walker

This book aims to help those who want to bring about positive change within communities in England and Wales. It is distinctive in being a practical ‘How To’ guide rather than a ‘Why Should’ argument. It provides a practical step-by-step guide for anyone who wants to set up a project or introduce a service that would benefit a significant number of vulnerable or excluded people, at any age, within their local communities, and which is sustainable for a long period of time.

Packed with reassurance and useful insights into the workings of the Third Sector, this is an indispensable guide to making the world a better place. Get your copy here.

Sarah needs Saving by DCR Bond

Ambitious, attractive and super organised Sarah marries into the wealthy, pretentious Fetherston family. Striving for acceptance by her snooty in-laws and new “friends” she juggles multiple roles: mother; carer; mopping up after her absent-minded husband; dogsbody for charity committees.

Sarah discovers a shocking secret - closer to her idyllic Devon home than she could have imagined- she is persuaded to keep quiet for the sake of the family. But this silence quickly backfires, ensnaring her in the grip of an unscrupulous con man and her neatly ordered life starts to topple.

Unable to confide in anyone will Sarah’s wit be enough to save her liberty, her marriage, and ultimately her daughter’s life? Gift this to a loved one here.

Emily’s Algarve Escape by DCR Bond

Abandoning her glamorous life in London's Knightsbridge for the breathtaking Algarve, desperate Emily seeks a new life of luxury, sun-drenched days and, most needed of all, her financial freedom.

But, with family in tow, this isn’t a simple relocation... Tensions mount, boundaries are tested, shortcomings confronted, and priorities re-evaluated as the Ellis's stumble into unexpected roles, discover hidden talents and try to reconcile the fact that their previous way of life has all but ended.

Can Emily prevent catastrophe as she navigates a new culture, language and work-life balance? Will blood ties hold as nerves fray? Find out here.

The Turning Point by John Blackwood

A story of a rebellion against the fashionable mores of our time. A young American is stranded in Scotland without any idea of how it has happened. She fights to discover the hidden forces which were attempting her abduction. She is the victim of a shadowy organisation who has a hand in most governments across the world and is completely amoral about the methods they use to achieve their goals – including people trafficking. Can she find connection and safety and where will the journey take her? Available to buy now.

I hope this has made your Christmas shopping list easier to think about. The big day can be a little daunting but it doesn't need to be. A great idea is to save this link for when you're out and about or when you sit down one evening with a glass of wine and buy online.

Hopefully, the shopping will all be done early and you can spend more time with the entire family playing a board game this festive season rather than drowning in wrapping paper!

Remember the main event is quality time with family games, a Christmas dinner no one has slaved too hard over and a Christmas movie! What family traditions can you create this year? Big or small it's a special treat to all have time off together.

Someone from the North Pole will pay you a visit and you will have a perfect time together before the New Year.
