WIN! The Girl Who Escaped by Angela Petch

This month we’ve teamed up with Bookouture to bring you a giveaway of ‘The Girl Who Escaped’ by Angela Petch.

The Girl who Escaped is based on real life, with Urbino, Italy as the main location. This is the place where the author Angela Petch, was married and where her Italian mother-in-law was born. It’s also where her courageous father helped save the lives of many Jews. Angela shares that he was modest about this and her family only found out further details after his death, when they read his papers. Quite rightly his story, and the story of many other brave people, needed to be told.

In total Angela has written 6 books with Italy as a backdrop. She prefers to base her stories on places that she’s been to or knows well. Italy is particularly close to her heart; having spent part of her childhood there and now dividing her year between the Tuscan Apennines and West Sussex.
