Father’s Day is almost upon us! Sunday 16th June for those of you who struggle to remember these special occasions!

It’s always tough finding presents for dads. They often end up with something dull like another pair of socks and can feel a little forgotten! Or they tell not to make a fuss but you would really like to show how much you appreciate them.

I’m lucky in that Graziano, my Husband is a very hands on Dad. So this year I wanted to find him something meaningful, something he can keep and will show that we’ve given his Father’s Day some thought.

Hersey & Son

I was recently invited to review the London Silversmiths, Hersey & Son and was delighted to find they offer a wide range of beautiful gifts for men.

Hersey & Son are one of the few remaining traditional Silversmiths in the UK. They still manufacture everything by hand which is very unusual now.

They are a father and son business which has been running since 1955!

I’m always happy to support a small business and having been on a few jewellery making workshops, I know how much skill and expertise goes into making products such as these.

So what do they offer for men?

Silver and leather bracelets

If your ‘Papa’ likes bands or bracelets they have a wide range of cuffs.

These come in either a flat, smooth finish, ribbed or stunning hammered metal which I particularly love!

There are plaited, leather products with silver. You can add silver discs to these with a word or message. Particularly great for children gifting dads.

If your man prefers identity style chain bracelets these are available, again with space for an engraving.

Key organizers

This may sound a bit unusual, but key organizers can become an inseparable part of your father's accessories.

You can choose from the huge variety of organizers for the keys depending on your dad's preferences and taste. Key organizers are very handy and will keep all the keys in one spot.

Now you can also get creative here and customize the organizer to your father's taste, add an engraving or choose his favorite color to decorate the organizer.

Cufflinks

There are a huge selection of solid silver cufflinks. All of them display the Hersey hallmark to verify 925 quality sterling silver.

You can find lots of themed pairs depending on the recipient’s interests such as golf, sailing, flying, drama, music, rugby or flags! Lovely classic styles such as knots, hallmarks and hearts.

If you would like to engrave your gift, there are the ‘secret message’ cufflinks (below left) where you can add initials to one side and a message on the reverse. Many other styles can be engraved if you wish.

The versatile range has different fitting types such as bar, chain, or hinges depending on which your man finds it easier to use.
