5 Birthday Party Ideas for Children

Children grow up so fast that it's important to treasure small moments and milestones. As your child grows another year older, their birthday is a lovely way to celebrate how much they’ve grown. If you’re planning your child’s birthday party and are stuck for ideas, we have you covered. In this post we share 5 birthday party ideas for children that were shared with us by a school offering venue hire in Watford.

Trampolining

Trampolining is a fun sport enjoyed by all and excellent for children’s parties. Just make sure that everyone is aware of the rules for health and safety and there is enough space for your guests to jump.

Craft Friendship Bracelets

To show how much they mean to one another, your child and their friends can craft friendship bracelets using beads and other materials.

Make Slime

Children love slime, so what better way to keep them entertained than a slime making activity? Just be aware that things can get messy. To protect your soft furnishings and their clothes, lay down sheets and get your guests to wear aprons.

A Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is another way that you can keep them occupied. They can either work by themselves or in teams to find hidden items around your garden (or venue). All you will need to do is decide on what you will hide, where you will hide them and clues.

Parents can join the adventure by wearing pirate costumes, transforming the scavenger hunt into a thrilling quest to add an extra layer of fun. Children will love searching for hidden treasures while encountering pirate-themed challenges.

An Obstacle Course

Similarly, you can set up an obstacle course that gets them up and about. Activities can be whatever you choose. To make things fun, you can include games like an egg and spoon race, three-legged race, wheelbarrow competitions etc.

These ideas just go to show that you don’t need a lot to throw a fun, memorable birthday party. So long as your child’s happy, that’s all that matters.
