5 great Lego sets for your children, and Husband this Christmas!

My family are definitely Lego enthusiasts! I would go so far as to say that I’m a bit of a Lego widow!

I don’t really mind as I think Lego is such an incredible toy for children. It builds fine motor skills, develops their imaginations.

It teaches perseverance and sets from the Lego City range create awareness and respect of role models such as the Fire Service, Police Force and other rescue servicemen.

If you want to recommend a toy to relatives that you know will last, will be adored and is really an investment. This is it!

So where can you find the best deals and a great range of Lego sets if you can’t get to a store?

I’ve gathered together a selection I think both your children and the adults will love to build together!

1. Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Train

The fact that Lego have created a Harry Potter set is just amazing for me. My children are too little for Harry Potter but I’m already showing them this to try and get them interested! I really enjoyed the books so it would be great if they loved it too.

This set also includes Minifigures such as: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin. The Trolley Witch, plus Dementor and Scabbers figures.

2. Lego Duplo: My First Puzzle Pets

If your children are under 3 Duplo is a great starting place. You can also buy small sets and build up as they increase their ability. We bought a Lego base as well that they could press the block onto which helped them keep everything together.

These sweet first pieces of Lego will really fire up their interest in creating something with their own hands.

3. Lego City Arctic Exploration Team

Perfect for Winter, Lego Arctic is a relatively new series with fantastic snowy scenes.

The pieces are a mix of snow mobiles, Husky Dogs, diggers, Ice blocks complete with saws! And of course snowshoes! They’ve thought of everything! Can you tell I’m a fan of this one!

4. LEGO 2117 Minecraft the Bedrock Adventures

I know literally nothing about Minecraft but I understand it is hugely popular this year with older children.

This set asks you to grab your torch and iron sword and join Alex and Steve for a dangerous mission to the bedrock of the Minecraft Overworld!

Pluck the juicy red apple and follow the sign to the bat-infested cave complete with spinning cave-spider spawner.

Something to use to encourage kiddies off screens and get building again!

5. LEGO 75172 Star Wars Y-Wing Starfighter

If you have some little Star Wars fans they will adore this huge Y-Wing Starfighter.

It features rotating guns and a weapons loader. A turning crane and extra ammo!

This spaceship was from the film ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.

I hope these will help with your Christmas shopping!
