California is considered by some to be the most beautiful state in the whole of America. You’ll find plenty of amazing places to visit, great food and drink and all sorts of different activities to get involved with. That’s why it’s such a great destination for a family vacation. It’s ideal for all age groups and you’ll always be able to find something to please everybody. If you’re planning a family trip to California, these are some of the best things to do while you’re out there.
If you’re taking the family to California, you can’t go without visiting some of the amazing theme parks there. The most popular one is Disneyland, of course, which is ideal for the younger kids as well as the adults. You can easily find a hotel near Disneyland, Anaheim so you’ve got easy access and you don’t have to drive for hours to get there. If the kids are a little older, Disneyland might not be the best park to go to. Six Flags is better suited to older children that want some bigger, scarier rides. Either way, you should be able to find something for everybody in all of the parks because there are great movie sets to look at and amazing shows to watch. It’s not just about the roller coasters so even if you’re not an adrenaline junkie, you’ll still have a great time.
Los Angeles Architecture
Even though you’re on a family vacation, you should still take the opportunity to take in a bit of culture. Los Angeles is known for being the center of the world’s film industry. Anybody that loves the movies should make a point of visiting Los Angeles while they’re there. But even if you’re not interested in Hollywood, you should still go to Los Angeles to take in the amazing architecture. There are some truly spectacular buildings around the city like the Walt Disney Concert Hall or the Getty Centre. It’s a great way to add a bit of culture to your trip alongside the over the top theme parks.
Yosemite National Park
The amazing scenery in this beautiful national park draws visitors from all over the world. It’s a big place with so many great hiking and cycling trails, picturesque picnic spots, and plenty of water activities to get involved with as well. You should set aside a couple of days at least to explore this paradise. There are also 13 separate camping spots around the park if you really want to immerse yourself in this incredible natural habitat.
If you’re looking for relaxation, look no further than Palm Springs. The area is famous for music festivals like Coachella and the family friendly StageCoach but you’ll also find lots of great hot springs, spas, and golf courses. Most of the luxury resorts have plenty of opportunities for the ultimate relaxation which might be a welcome change after spending time in some of the more hectic areas of California.
These are just some of the great places that you and your family can visit on your trip to California.
