How to holiday with extended family in one wonderful party house

If like us you often have family or friends visiting, it can sometimes be hard accommodating everyone. Not just when it comes to having more bedrooms but where do you hang out together and eat without tripping over one another. How about if you want to show them more than just your backyard which for us is in London.

With more people holidaying with extended family I’ve started researching where to find large houses to rent in the UK. It’s a great reason to visit a different area of the country but with the comforts of home and more.

So why should you consider taking a trip with extended family and friends? And if so where do you find the perfect place? Across the UK there are a lot of available options, Party Houses being one of them.

One of the main reasons for taking a multi-generational holiday is that you all get to spend quality time together. When there’s a large group of you it’s important to have enough spaces where you can hang out but also where smaller groups or individuals can have a moment to themselves. This provides the most amount of relaxation for everyone and helps to create harmony with the differing ages.

When it’s not your own home it’s easier for everyone to muck in and help each other. Nothing such as the cooking or washing up is seen as one person’s responsibility and there’s that added bonus of exploring a new place.

Often the grandparents will have a new release of energy being around their grandchildren which leads me to the next point…

Childcare

Though having a babysitter is not the only reason to holiday with family. It definitely eases the burden to have extra pairs of hands to help.

It’s also wonderful to see the memories your children are making with their grandparents and how happy they make each other.

If you have other children on your break you’ll find they quickly become a little gang of friends who are inseparable and the age gaps don’t seem to matter. This means you are not looking for ways to entertain them as usually they find their friends more exciting!

Costs

When taking a holiday as a large group the costs can seem a bit daunting. However, it’s important to remember that when hiring a property of this size these spectacular homes can host a minimum of 10 people but often around 30!

If you split the costs between guests and bear in mind that you can cook for yourselves in incredible kitchens and then all sit down together to a meal around a huge table or on a terrace with a view. Then the costs are actually very manageable.

There are also many activities on site such as games rooms, access to walks and beaches so day trips and extra costs are kept to a minimum.

Lastly one of the best reasons to rent a stunning home in a new location is that it’s the perfect opportunity to discover a new area. Before I had children I dragged my Italian Husband all over the UK. I was desperate for him to see that our wonderful UK is more than just London.

So far his favourite place is Cornwall but there are so many other amazing spots that I know would suit us as a family. I would really love to take a trip to Scotland as there’s so much to see and the landscape is magical.
