As the weather gets colder and November is behind us, who isn't thinking about preparing your home for Christmas or the winter holiday season?

The first thing people notice when they visit your home is your beautiful front door! 5. Cosy living area

If you're hoping to create the perfect holiday retreat, adding a cosy armchair to your guest room or a cute corner of the house works wonders. We've just bought some poinsetta from Ikea. I especially love that they have the variety with warm white petals as well as the red.

Be aware these plants are sensitive to dry surroundings so small amounts of watering will help while we're all huddled inside with the heating on.

The dining room is the perfect backdrop for Christmas gatherings. It becomes an essential room or space during this festive period.
